Definitions
- “Unaccompanied” students are those who answered the survey that they had been kicked out, ran away, or were abandoned by their parents in the past year.
- “In Shelter” means students who reported living in a shelter or emergency housing in the past 30 days.
- “Doubled Up” students reported living in the home of a friend, family member, or other person in the past 30 days because they had to leave their home or their parent could not afford housing.
- “Other” includes students who reported living in a motel or hotel, in a public place such as a car or a park, students who reported not having a usual place to sleep, or somewhere else in the past 30 days.
