You only think about breathing when you can’t…
1 in 3 homeless children in New York City suffer from asthma.
That’s more than 2x the rate of children nationwide.
Even with an asthma diagnosis:
- 85% of homeless kids do not have the appropriate asthma control medication.
- 65% of homeless kids go to the emergency room at least once in a year.
Kids with asthma need continuous care, but when you move your doctor doesn’t move with you.
